On Saturday morning, we took part in a fan site roundtable interview with Diane Kruger. We and the other fan sites were able to ask her questions about The Host. Like Saoirse Ronan, Diane has not done many interviews about The Host until this press junket.
Kruger discusses how her character is more complex than we initially think and how she filmed it, how she prepared for playing The Seeker, if it was difficult wearing white for the whole film, how she physically differs from The Seeker compared to the book, if The Seeker is the villain, what would she miss if she was an alien, her sci fi loves, her experience on Fringe, her introduction to Stephenie’s fandom, describing her character, Andrew Niccol versus Quentin Tarantino as directors, training to drive the Lotus, what she took from the set/film, and what other characters she would have liked to play in the film.
