Hollywood Crush debuted the first poster for The Host today. The image of Saoirse Ronan as Melanie/Wanderer is the same look as in the first teaser trailer. The poster promotes that the film is by Stephenie Meyer and gets the Twilight connection in there as well. I am sure that will peak some people’s interest in the film if they see the poster and do not know about this book or film. On the other hand, the Twilight haters are going to dismiss the film as soon as they see that. The poster also promotes that Andrew Niccol wrote the screenplay and is directing. No cast are mentioned on the poster. The tagline “You will be one of us” is used. Keep in mind that this is a teaser poster, and I am sure we will have more posters to come as it gets closer to the release date.
